Kaihara Denim - Non-Stretch Japanese Cotton Twill Denim Fabric - 10 oz Dark Blue

Japanese cotton twill non-stretch denim in a dark blue wash. 10 oz denim is midweight and has a moderate drape. It is good for jean trousers and jackets. This fabric is available in a swatch to determine weight and color. 

Swatches are approximately 3" X 5".

NOTE: Minimum cut starts at 0.5yd for this fabric due fabric type or print. Fat Quarters not available for purchase.

Important: We suggest pre-washing to check for shrinkage and possible dye bleed.

Milling process notes:

• The fabric is sanforized (pre‑shrinking process with steam and heat), which means you can expect it the fabric to shrink 1-3% after washing, not 5-10% like non-sanforized denims. 
• The surface was not singed (flame or heat treatment to burn the fibers smooth) so you’ll see a soft, slightly fuzzy texture after a few washes.
• It is not mercerized (caustic‑soda treatment applied under tension, also known as silket finish) leaving a low lustre, rustic look that gets better with further wear and wash.
