Sevenberry - Ichimatsu Checkerboard Cotton Fabric - Blue

Ichimatsu is a traditional Japanese pattern, made of two contrasting colors in an alternating style to create a striking visual impact. While the pattern goes back to the middle ages, the name was derived from the Kabuki actor, Sanogawa Ichimatsu. He lived during the Edo period (1603-1868), was famous for wearing a distinctive checkered kimono.
This checkerboard print comes in dark blue and off-white.
