If you've tried Olympus sashiko supplies and are ready to move up to something different I highly suggest Hida Sashiko thread. Hard to find outside of Japan, this thread is made in smaller batches than mass-produced Olympus thread.
The main differences with the Hida thread include brighter colors, less lint, and a slight variation from dye lot to dye lot, which is to be expected with smaller production methods.
