Fujix - Cotton Thread Hand Dyed with Persimmon - #5 Dark Gray Brown Kuresome

$5 flat rate shipping within the US
Fujix makes the most beautiful threads, and here is a real treat. Hand dyed with Kakushibu (fermented persimmon tannin), a traditional Japanese technique that makes rich wood-toned hues, these threads are perfect for working with vintage indigo cottons. They may be used for sashiko, but are thinner than most standard sashiko threads.
Color #5 is a deep gray-brown shade, like old, weathered wood. The last photo shows #5 at the top, and the color is best represented in that photo.
Each skein is 20 meters long, size #6. Sashiko thread is closer to size #8.
Kuresome (Kure-zome ) - Color of the sky at twilight.
暮染(くれぞめ)- たそがれ時の空に見るような色。
