We’re looking for a new part-time team member to help us fulfill orders, restock and manage other retail responsibilities. Our ideal candidate can work at least two fixed days a week and up to 20 hours weekly. The timing of shifts is fixed and must be consistent. This is not a remote or hybrid position. We will train for this entry-level role, so previous retail experience is not required, but preferred. 

This is a physically demanding role. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to being able to perform regular physical duties and lift heavy bolts of fabric. 

We are very interested in hobby sewists and crafters of any trade to fill this role.

 

Requirements: 

  • Must be able to work Mondays. 

  • Must be able to lift/move 25 pounds, do physical work, and stand for long periods of time

  • Must be able to work with computers and inventory systems

  • Must be able to work with customers in a friendly and professional way

  • Some weekend availability once a month 

Nice to haves: 

  • Knowledge and/or interest in fabric and sewing or crafting

  • Customer service experience

  • East Bay local as to reduce commute

  • Likes dogs! And occasional homemade meals
